All PTA events and activities are organized and run entirely by parent volunteers, many of whom work full time. Interested in helping out? Whether you have 30 minutes, or much larger blocks of time, there are opportunities to fit your busy schedule! Check back regularly as new opportunities are always coming up.

In order to volunteer in the school, you must complete county required training (we promise, it's easy!). Be sure to have your license or state issued ID whenever volunteering during school hours, in order to sign in through our secure visitor management system.

Event volunteers

Please consider giving ONE hour of your time during ONE event this year. If everyone splits the work, there's less for each of us to do! Event signups will be linked here as they become available:

What Do You Want to Do?

Take a look at all of the opportunities available this year, and check off any or all that match your interests, skills and availability. Examples include:

    • Photocopying - there's always copying, cutting or laminating to be done if you've got some time to spare to help out a teacher or the PTA board
    • Treat fairies - help out Staff Appreciation team by baking or purchasing treats to spoil our teachers
    • Share YOUR Skills - let us know if you have a business or skill that could benefit the school, we'd love to work with you if possible
    • Volunteer from your Sofa - there's plenty that can be done from the comfort of your home, whether it's helping w data entry, stuffing mailings, making calls to recruit event sponsors or mounting artwork for our Art Department.

Lunch Volunteers

All parents are invited to volunteer for lunch/recess, as long as they have completed county volunteer training. Lunch volunteers are expected to help all tables from their child's class.

School-wide Needs

Don't have any time to spare? That's ok, there are still ways that you can help! Our school always needs donations of the following items, which can be sent in with your child or dropped off in the office:

  • tissues
  • hand sanitizer
  • Clorox wipes
  • playground chalk
  • sandwich bags
  • paper cups
  • prize box goodies
  • The Media Center is looking for donations for their Makerspace - gently used blocks, legos, magnatiles, tinker toys. These toys give kids the chance to plan, collaborate, create, and engage with their creations.
  • We're also looking for donations of new or gently used furniture for the staff lounge, things like comfy chairs or round tables. Contact schoolsupport@rces-pta.org if you'd like to contribute.

Many teachers also maintain Amazon or Bloomz wish lists, so be sure to check with your room parent to find out if your teacher has one.

Leadership Roles

Are you a natural born leader? Do you care about people, and enjoy making things happen? Let us know if you would be interested in a leadership role, and we can work together to find the best fit.
